After gaining a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from WSCAD Nick went on to complete a MA in Animation at Bournemouth University.

As a creative he worked for many years in the animation industry at Aardman Animations, 4:2:2 and Picasso Pictures. He then helped set up two boutique animation houses in Bristol and was on the board of the Encounters Film festivals.

Currently Nick spends most of my time working on writing & illustration projects and running a small novelty press.

Nick has a BBC Talent award for Animation, a Royal Television Society award, and has been in competition at Annecy, Edinburgh, Portland, London and numerous other international film festivals.

‘Chester and the Eggie Boo‘, Nicks children’s picture book was runner up in Writing Magazines Self Published Book of the Year Award in 2016.

A children’s book series Nick is currently working on was highly commended at the Winchester Writers Festival and recently shortlisted for Writings’ Chapter book prize.

Nick lives in the sunny South West of England with my musician wife, Lego obsessed son, and crazy border terrier.
